Bertram Allen
Bertram always rode horses when he was young. The irish rider made his international debut on the Irish Nation's Cup team in 2013 and won a silver individualist medail in European Junior Championship with Molly Malone V. In 2014 he competed in World Equestrian Games, finishing 7th individual. In the same year he won his first leg of the World Championship (Verona CSI5* W) and became an overnight star. Also 2015 has been for Bertram a year of big results: he won Bordeaux CSI5*W and GCT of Paris with Romanov and conquered the third place with Molly Malone V at 2015 FEI World Cup Finals in Las Vegas. His good performances continued in 2016, with the victories in the following CSI5* classes: Winning Round in Hong Kong on Quiet Easy 4, Prix Hermès Sellier at Grand Palais riding Romanov and class 03 at GCT Hamburg on Molly Malone V. In 2017 Bertram took part of the Irish team at the European Championships in Gothenburg, winning the European Championships Team Gold. In 2019 he achieved many placings and victories, ending the season winning the World Cup in Toronto with Casper.
Harry Allen
Harry, younger brother of the well-known Bertram, began riding at 7 years old. His first important result was achieved in 2014, when he took part in Children European Championship at Arezzo 2014, where he competed with great success and classified 6th with his team. Harry attended the 2016 FEI European Championships for Ponies in Aarhus, Vilhelmsborg in which he and his team placed 5th. In 2017 he secured the gold medal in both the individual and team event at the 2017 FEI European Pony Jumping Championships in Kaposvar, Hungary aboard the pony Cassandra. In the same year he has made the transition to horses, leaving his pony days behind him. His next step on the career ladder involves moving to Germany, to join up with his two older siblings at Ballywalter Farms. In 2018 he achieved the team bronze medal at the European Juniores Championships iN Fontainebleau riding Dis Moi de Clairbois while in 2019 in Zuidwolde (European Juniores Championships) he was 5th individually and again 3rd as a team.
Sergio Alvarez Moya
Sergio began horseback riding with his brothers at age seven because his uncle was interested in horses. As a junior he won the European Championships (2001). In 2003, he decided that to further progress in his riding career he needed to move to Belgium. For six years he developed himself as a respected rider before returning to Spain and basing himself with his brother in La Coruña. Sergio's heroes are Nick Skelton and John Whitaker, and the most influential person in his career is legendary coach Victor Aguero. One of his most memorable career moments is coming 3rd at the Grand Prix in Aachen in 2010 with Action Breaker, one of the finest horses he has worked with. Always with Action Breaker he was a member of the 2012 FEI Nation's Cup Promotional League Final winning team. Nevertheless he competed for Spain in 2004, 2007, 2009, 2013 European Championships, in the 2006, 2010 and 2014 World Championships and in the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio where he finished 20th.
Bernardo Alves
Bernardo Alves is a very talented rider, with the experience of two Olympics and three World Championships, with different horses. He had excellent teachers like the great Nelson Pessoa. In his career he has met many excellent horses and his best quality is to understand them at their best, making them express their full potential. This is what he has been doing in recent years at the Stud "de Muze" in Belgium. Today El Torreo de Muze and Mosito Van Het Hellehof are his top horses, grown up with patience and competence. In 2021 he won the international Grand Prix of Bourg en Bresse and Lier.
Julien Anquetin
Julien Anquetin is one of the best upcoming riders in France, now standing with full rights in the top 50 of the World FEI Rankings. He is part of the Veredus Riders Team since november 2022 and in 2024 he began the season winning the prestigious Grand Prix at Saut Hermes, Paris.
Emilio Bicocchi
Emilio Bicocchi started riding at 11 years, following the family tradition. His parents are both within the equestrian world as judges and breeders. He took part at the first international competition in 1990 at Vichy, France and he became in the years one of the best Italian riders. He won three times Italian Championship: the first time in 2005 in Rome, then in 2009 at Bagnaia (Siena) and in 2016 with Ares in Arezzo. In 2006 and 2010 he competed at the World Equestrian Games with the stallion Kapitol d'Argonne, while in 2017 he was in Gothenburg with Ares representing his nation at the European Championships. He is one of the best italian riders, at the moment ranked in the top 60 in the World Rankings of Show Jumping. In 2019 He competed in the World Cup and qualified for the 2020 finals.
Daniel Bluman
Inspired by his older cousins who loved and showed horses, Daniel started riding at age 3. He showed a passion for horses which rapidly developed to become a real lifestyle. As a young rider Daniel competed in Colombia, Germany and in the USA. In 2007 he moved permanently to Wellington where he started his professional riding career. His cousins, Marky and Ilan, recently joined him and Bluman Equestrian was created. Bluman relocated to Belgium in 2013, where he trained with Nelson Pessoa for two years. Representing Colombia, Bluman competed at two Olympics: London 2012 and Rio de Janeiro 2016. His best Olympic result came in 2012 when he placed 20th individually as one of the youngest competing riders. Bluman has been riding on behalf of Israel since late 2016. He was named the 2018 Rider of the Year by L'Annee Hippique. In May 2019, Bluman won the Rolex Grand Prix at CSIO Rome, Piazza di Siena. Bluman, along with Ashlee Bond, Danielle Goldstein Waldmann and Elad Yaniv became the first Israeli equestrian jumping team to qualify for the Olympics in Tokyo 2020.
Niels Bruynseels
For young Niels it was nearly impossible to hide from horses as father Harry Bruynseels was a horse trader for many years. Nevertheless, Niels only started competing the age of 14. In 2002 he was the best Belgian rider at the European Championships for Young Riders in Copenhagen and still with Domino de Fel they became the combination to beat as they claimed the silver at the Belgian and European Championships only one year later. In 2016 he won Grand Prix Table A at Helsinki CSI5*-W, and he classified 1st in the Prix des Communes Genevoises at Geneve CSI5*. In 2017 he won Grand Prix of Basel CSI5* on Gancia de Muze and he took silver at the Longines Global Champions Tour of Mexico City. In 2018 he won the Grand Slam Rolex Grand Prix of 's-Hertogenbosch and was a member of the Belgian Team at the Weg in Tryon, USA. In 2019 he won the Global Champions Tour in Cannes. He is steadily in the world top 20 and is a permanent member of the successful Belgian Team!
Natale Chiaudani
Italian showjumper Natale Chiaudani, who has studied with Piero D'Inzeo, has been a member of the italian team at the Atlanta 1996 Olympics and at the Sant Gallen 1995 and 1997 Mannheim european championships, riding the angloarab stallion Rheingold de Luyne. He represented his country in many Nations Cup. In 2009 he won the silver team medal at European Championship in Windsor riding the fantastic Seldana, was 4th in the Grand Prix of Rome and won the the Top League Nations Cup final in Dublin! In 2012 he won the Italian Championship in Arezzo, riding Almero 12, after 4 silver and 3 bronze medal in this competition.He is one of the most experienced italian riders.
Michael Cristofoletti
Michael started riding very young as his parents, Angelo and Lorraine, run a show jumping and eventing stable in Lombardy (Scuderia della Capinera). Younger brother of the former italian champion Roberto, he took part at the 2008 Juniores European Championships in Praga. In 2009 he moved to Germany to work with Paul Schockemohle. He initially intended to stay for 12 months, but he relocated there permanently in 2010 and spent the following four years training with Schockemohle. In 2017 he and his partner Jana Wagners opened the C&W Show Jumpers stables in Ibbenburen, Germany. In 2016 he was 7th at the Italian Championship riding Belony while two years later the same couple won the silver medal! In 2018 he was 5th in the Oslo World Cup Grand Prix, while in 2019 he was 10th both in the World Cup of Poznan (riding Debalia) and Bordeaux (riding Belony).
Marcus Ehning
A team Olympic Gold Medal winner (2000) with the unforgettable For Pleasure, Marcus’s personal motto is ‘never give up’. Marcus' career is full of accolades: he won three times the FEI Wold Cup respectively with Anka 191 (2003), Sandro Boy (2006), Noltes Kuchengirl and Plot Blue (2010). In 2003 he won the team gold medal and the individual bronze medal riding For Pleasure at the European Championship in Donaueschingen. In 2010 he finished 1st with his team at the World Championships in Lexington. With the bay stallion Plot Blue he won the 2013 LGCT of Cannes and in 2014 the leg in Vienna. Also Sabrina 327 has been an important horse for Marcus, we can rembember their victory in 2014 at LCGT of Paris or the first place in Rotterdam. With Cornado NRW he achieved great results, winning Bordeaux CSI5*-W, Saut Hermes Grand Prix in 2014, the 2016 Rolex Grand Prix at Indoor Brabant and then they placed 4th at the 2016 FEI World Cup Finals in Gotheborg. In 2016 Marcus won also the LGCT in Madrid and Vienna respectively with Pret a Tout and Comme Il Faut. In 2018 riding Pret a Tout he won the team bronze medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon and won two Rolex Grand Slam Grand Prix: Aachen and Geneve! In 2019 he won the team silver medal and was 5th individually ant the Rotterdam European Championship riding the stallion Comme Il Faut. He is constantly standing in the top 20 riders of the world, considered by the most as a true example of style, he is also know as "the Maestro".
Tiffany Foster
Tiffany Foster is the highest ranked female rider in Canada and one of the top 10 ranked female rider in the world. She is constantly in the top 80 best riders. A true veteran of major games competition, Tiffany represented Canada at the 2012 London Olympic Games riding Victor and at the 2016 Rio Olympics riding Tripple X III where Canada placed fourth following a jump-off against Germany for the bronze medal. She was a member of the Canadian team at the 2014 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games in Normandy, France, riding Verdi III and, in her Pan American Games debut, helped Canada claim the team gold medal riding Tripple X III at the 2015 edition held in Toronto. Tiffany operates Little Creek Equestrian with bases in Wellington, FL, and Vrasene, BEL. In addition to coaching and training students, she continues to successfully campaign several grand prix mounts and exciting young prospects.
Peder Fredricson
Peder is a double silver medal winner at the Olympic Games. In 2021 in Tokyo with All In he won the individual silver medal and the team gold! With the same horse he had already won the silver medal in Rio! He is one of the few equestrians who has competed in the Olympic Games and the World Championships in both show jumping and eventing. He competed in the Olympics for the first time at the young age of 20 and has since then participated in numerous championships. He won the team silver medal at the Olympic Games of 2004 where he also came in 4th place for individuals with Magic Bengsston. In 2017 Peder and H&M All In won the European Championship in Gothenburg. In 2018 riding Christian K he achieved the team silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon. In 2021 with Catch Me Not he got a bronze medal at the European Championship in Riesenbeck. In 2022 in Herning he won the team gold medal riding the evergreen All In! He is constantly ranked among the top 10 riders in the world. For several months during the last two years he occupied the 2nd place.
Martin Fuchs
He started riding at the age of five as both his parents were involved in the sport at international level. He was a successful junior and young rider, winning individual gold at the 2012 Young Rider European Championships with Principal 12. He also competed at the 2010 Youth Olympics Games in Singapore on Midnight Mist. The pair won gold in the mixed team event and was placed ninth individually. Martin won team bronze at the 2015 European Championships riding Clooney 51. He attended his first Olympic Games at Rio 2016 with the same horse, finishing sixth with the team and ninth as an individual. With Clooney 51, Martin finished fourth in the 2017 World Cup Final in Omaha and 3rd with the team at the European Championship. The same year Martin won the Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix of Mexico City with Chaplin. In 2018 always with Clooney he was silver medal at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon! 2019 was ablosutely his best year. With Clooney he won the individual gold medal at the European Championship in Rotterdam and in december he won the Rolex Grand Prix in Geneve. Riding The Sinner he won the last World Cup Grand Prix of the year at London Olympia! In january 2020 he was number one in the Fei World Rankings!!! In 2021 he achieved the team gold and the individual silver medal at the European Championship in Riesenbeck riding Leone Jei. He also won the Grand Prix of Dinard riding Conner.
Steve Guerdat
Steve has been fascinated by horses since he started riding as a child and had his first trainer at nine years old. He quickly achieved competition success and made the Swiss juniors team. His father Philippe was an international show jumper and has been a big influence on his career. Steve says hard work is as crucial as talent when it comes to success. In 2008 Steve won a team bronze medal at the Beijing Games on Jalisca Solier and in 2010 he won, with the same horse, the Rolex IJRC Top 10 Final in Geneva. In a major career high he won individual gold at the 2012 Olympic Games in London aged 30 on Nino des Buissonnets and came 4th in the team competition. In 2012 and 2013 he ended second in the World Cup Final with Nino ds Buissonnets. With Albfuehren's Paille he won 2015 FEI World Cup Final in Las Vegas and in 2016 he triumphed again winning the World Cup Finals in Goteborg with Corbinian. Riding Albfuehren's Bianca in 2017 he won the team bronze medal at the European Championship in Gothenburg and the individual bronze at the World Equestrian Games in Tryon. In 2019 he won his third World Cup Final riding Alamo. In 2019 and for 12 months in a row he has been nr. 1 in the FEI World Rankings and at the moment (may 2020) he still is.
Lauren Hough
Born into a family of equestrians, Lauren Hough was riding before she could walk. A three-time Pan American medalist who is currently ranked among the top 50 riders in the world, Lauren has represented Team USA at the Olympic Games and World Equestrian Games, in addition to seven FEI World Cup Final appearances. In 2014, Lauren garnered many top placements and wins: with Ohlala she won the Massimo Dutti Prix and with Bockman's Lazio the $25,000 Suncast 1.50 Meter Championship Jumper Classic. She earned the Leading Lady Rider award for the 2014 WEF season, and was named to the 2014 Alltech World Equestrian Games short list. The highlight of 2015 was Lauren's successful trip to the Pan American Games in Caledon, Ontario, where she put in Team and Individual Bronze medal winning performances with Ohlala. Some of the most memorable moments thus far: Lauren's spectacular victory in the Great American $1 Million at HITS Ocala aboard Ohlala and victory in the 1.50m ranking class at Bolesworth International Horse Show CSI4* in Tattenhall, England. Adding to an impressive European campaign, Lauren was a member of the Hermès U.S. Show Jumping Teams that clinched Nations Cup gold in Sopot, Spruce Meadows, and the history making all-female quartet in Dublin. Most recently, Lauren and Ohlala contributed to the silver medal for the United States at the Longines FEI Nations Cup Jumping Final in Barcelona at the end of September.
Marc Houtzager
Marc Houtzager is one of the most successful Dutch riders,in 2020 he became champion of the Netherlands on Sterrehof's Dante. In 2008 and 2012 he took part in the Olympics placing 7th individual in Hong Kong and 9th individual and 2nd team in London. He also represented his country at the Windsor European Championships and the Tryon World Championships. In 2017 riding Sterrehof's Calimero he won the Nations Cup Final in Barcelona. In his career he has won countless international Grand Prix such as Dublin, Paris, Rotterdam, London World Cup, Munich, Hardelot, Maubeuge, Assen, Den Bosch and Hamburg. Together with Sterrehof's Dante he represented in the Dutch Olympic team for Tokyo 2021 finishing 21st as individual and 4th as team.
Darragh Kenny
Darragh began competing at age 10. He was born and raised on a farm and his parents are both trainers. He got his start in the United States and showed horses for clients at North Run stable in Wellington, FL, United States. But in September 2012 he broke off to form Oakland Ventures, LLC. "For me, North Run was like going to college; you do four years of college and you learn so much. It was just time for me to try and do something on my own and make a go of it." Darragh spents part of the year in Wellington and part in Holland where in 2018 he estabilished his new stable. Kenny represented Ireland in the 2014 World Equestrian Games in Normandy, where he placed twelfth individually aboard Imothep. From there, Kenny captured a monumental victory as a member of the Irish show jumping team, winning the Aga Khan Trophy and the Nations Cup with Sans Soucis Z on home turf at the Dublin Horse Show in 2015. In recent years, Kenny has continued to produce exceptional results internationally with two prestigious 5* Grand Prix wins in the summer of 2019, which include the LGCT Grand Prix of Chantilly and the €500,000 Rolex Grand Prix in Knokke Hippique aboard Balou du Reventon. Kenny helped to earn Olympic qualification for Ireland after jumping double-clear with Balou du Reventon to win team gold in the 2019 Nations Cup Final at CSIO Barcelona. He concluded a successful 2019 with impressive runner-up positions in the World Cup Verona and the Rolex Top 10 Final aboard Romeo 88 while also finishing second in the €1.25 Million Global Champions Tour Super Grand Prix Final with Balou du Reventon. He currently sits at number 7 on the World Rankings.
Guido Jun. Klatte
Guido took up the sport seriously at age 12 after riding for fun as a small child. He was raised at his family's stables in Lastrup, Germany, so it was natural for him to begin riding. His family run 'Guido Klatte Horse Transport'. The business was set up by his father Guido Sr., and is based in Lastrup, Germany. Klatte Sr. trained his son through the early years of his career, and as soon as he was old enough Klatte Jr. moved two hours away from home to train under show jumping legend Marcus Ehning. He now runs his own stable. In 2016 he won the European Championship for young riders. In 2018 he won the silver medal at the German Championship, while at the end of 2019 he won the CSI4* Grand Prix of Munich.
Edward Levy
Edward Levy is one of the most talented young French rider of his generation. At only 25 years old, he already participated to the most prestigious show all around the world. He started riding at 11 years old. At the age of 16 he went to Patrice Delaveau's stables to learn from Patrice. After 2 years, he moved to Germany in the stable of Ludger Beerbaum in order to improve his experiences. His first important result was achieved in 2013 when he took part at the Young Rider French Championship which he won with his impressive mare Starlette de la Roque. Edward attended his first CSIO 5* at Gijon, Spain, in 2017, when he was only 23 years old. He and the French team won the first place! Since then, his good performances continued with victories in several shows such as Munich, Knokke, Equita Lyon 5*, the Longines Masters of Paris.
Ben Maher
Ben Maher is the actual Olympic champion: with the phenomanal Explosion he won the individual gold medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics! Ben began riding when he was eight. He was a very successful Young Rider, helping the British Young Riders to a Team European Gold in 2004.He has since become a regular member of the senior British international team, competing in the 2009, 2011 and 2013 European Championships, and the 2008 and 2012 Olympic Games. Riding Tripple X III he won Team Gold at the 2012 London Olympics after which he was awarded an MBE by Her Majesty The Queen. With Tripple X III Ben has also won Team Bronze at the 2011 European Championships and riding Cella the Team Gold and Individual Silver at the 2013 European Championships. In 2013 he won also Hickstead King George V Gold Cup, Aachen Warnsteiner Preis and LGCT London Grand Prix with Cella. He triumphed in 2016 in the Rolex Grand Prix CSI5* riding the mare Sarena at Winter Equestrian Festival, winning $500,000. He is a constant member of the successful british team partecipating at all the major events: in 2015 he was team 4th with Diva II at the European Championship, in 2016 he partecipated at the Olympics in Rio with Tic Tac, in 2019 he was team bronze and individual silver at the European Championship in Rotterdam riding the phenomenal Explosion W. In 2019 together they also won the Global Champions Tour final in Prague.
Beezie Madden
She is one of the most succesful USA riders, with two Olympic team gold and one silver medals, and one individual bronze. Beezie won two World Cup finals, in 2013 with Simon and in 2018 with Breitling LS. She also won two silver and two bronze medals at the World Equestrian Games. In 2019 riding Darry Lou she won the Calgary Rolex Grand Prix, one of the majors of the Rolex Grand Slam. Beezie Madden is famous for her style and incredible horsemanship, she is married to her trainer, John Madden.
Giulia Martinengo Marquet
Giulia is the only Italian lady rider with two Gold Medals won at the National Championships. Giulia is a proud member of the Italian team and is competitive in 5* CSI shows. She took part to five European Championships: two as a young rider in 1998 and 2000 and three as a senior rider, Mannheim 2007 and Madrid 2011. In 2019 she was part of the Italian Team at the European Championship in Rotterdam where she ended 9th as team and 21st as individual. Whilst enjoying the top sports, Giulia dedicates loads of time and passion to the young horses persistently valuing their potential at the best.
Mark McAuley
His father was an international show jumper and his mother a three day event rider so naturally Mark started riding at an early age. At the family yard based in Ardee, Co Louth Mark worked with his father and had a lot of success early on including a team bronze medal at the European Pony Championships and a Young Rider National champion title in 2005. He represented Ireland in the 2004 Junior European Championship in Villamoura Portugal. In 2009, Mark left his father's stables in Ireland and moved to Italy where he rode horses for the Italian family Valenzano-Menada in San Remo. It was during this time that he was given the opportunity to ride on the prestigious Global Champions Tour for over four years with many great results. In 2015 he decided to move to Geneva to start his own business „La Tuilière Competition”. In 2017 after two years building a string of horses for the top level, he made it back into the top 80 of the Longines Ranking list and was a regular face on the Irish national team for Nations Cups. He was also reserve rider for the gold medal winning team in the European Championships in Gothenburg and finished the year with a qualification for the FEI World Cup Finals in Paris in April 2018. In the last two years he has constantly been in the top 60 of the rankings! He joined the Veredus Riders Team in 2020!
Gudrun Patteet
Gudrun started riding at a very early age and was already very successful in the pony jumping classes. At the age of 13 she became Belgian Champion Children with Nelke van het Waterschoot, a horse who was bred by her parents. As Junior and Young rider she also got the Belgian titles and she was also very successful in National and International classes and at several European Championships where she won Team medals (Silver at the 2004 European Young Riders Championships in Madrid). As Senior she started already in her first year by winning the Cup of Belgium and right now she’s performing on 5* level with several horses. For Gudrun it is very important that she can start working with youngsters whom she can bring to the highest level herself. The prove of this is winning the World Championship for 7 year olds at Zangersheide in 2013 with Sea Coast Atlantic, winning the Belgian Championship for 7 year olds in Lummen in 2015 with Sea Coast Ideo D’O and a 9th place at the World Championship for 7 year olds at Zangersheide in 2018 with No Mercy. In 2019 she qualified for the World Cup Finals. She was several times part of the Belgian Team, winning the Nations Cup in Sopot. In 2019 she won the 5* Grand Prix in Lausanne and at the moment (September 2019) she is 60th in the Fei Rankings.
Anthony Philippaerts
Anthony is the youngest of the Philippaerts dynasty, son of the great Ludo. In 2016 he won two medals at the Belgian Championships in Neeroeteren. In 2018 during the Youth festival in Lier, he got a silver medal at the Great Prize, with Goofy v/h Laerhof. At the Summer Circuit in Knokke he takes silver at the Great Prize (CSI 1*) and during the CSI Youth in November in the Sentower Park he decisively aims for gold at the Great Prize CSIJ, with Forever D’Arco. In 2019 he won the Grand Prix in Gorla Minore, and also the GP for juniors in Lamprechtshausen, riding All Right du Genet. In September they run a double clear course in the Nations Cup final in Sentower Park. In Maastricht, they won the Big Tour and they conclude the year with a victory at the Grand Prix CSIJY-A in Mechelen. In 2020 Anthony achieved the 2nd place in U25 150 GP Valkenswaard, the bronze medal at the Belgian championships and the furst place with a double clear in the Nationscup of CSIO Sentower. In 2021 he got a 2nd place in the GP of Wierden and in the Nations Cup and he became European Champion with the Belgian Team, 8th individually.
Nicola Philippaerts
Nicola is son of Ludo Philippaerts and twin brother of Olivier Philippaerts, both show jumping riders as well. He was a very successful Pony, Junior and Young Rider, winning Junior European Bronze in 2010 and Young Rider European Gold in the Team and Individual event in 2011. In 2012, he won the Longines Grand Prix at the Falsterbo Horse Show. Together with his father and brother, and Jos Lansink, he finished third at the 2012 Piazza di Siena FEI Nations Cup of Italy. In 2014 Nicola delivered some impressive performances: a win in the Göteborg World Cup, a victory in the Big Ben Grand Prix in Toronto and podium finishes in five-star jumping events at Doha and St. Tropez. In 2016 Nicola he won the Grand Prix at Tryon and classified third in the World Cup in London, each time with Harley van de Bisschop. But 2017 is also the year of H&M Chilli Willi’s breakthrough. The most memorable moment of 2017 definitely takes place in September. It is then that Nicola and H&M Chilli Willi become Champion of Belgium. The man from Limburg is also very successful in the Longines Global Champions Tour. Early May, Nicola Philippaerts and H&M Harley v/d Bisschop just miss out on a win in Madrid. The Chantilly LGCT, later that year, is however won by them. It will be an exciting fall, starting with Spruce Meadows, followed by the Belgian Championship, and then returning to the States for his first appearance at the World Championship. During the latter, Belgium achieves the final victory, partly thanks to Nicola’s performance. Nicola Philippaerts is member of the Belgian Team being crowned team of the year 2018. Nicola and H&M Chilli Willi make an excellent start of the 2019 season and end as 3rd in the opening race of the Global Champions Tour in Doha. This duo also shines in the Chantilly GCT and they achieve a podium finish. But during a fall Nicola gets a shoulder injury and has to stop. He is back at the end of 2019.
Jane Richard Philips
Jane Richard has always loved horses, but no one in her family was into horse riding, that's why she started to ride only when she was a teenager as a hobby. At sixteen, Jane jumped in her first Grand Prix in Rosental before going on to compete as part of the Swiss Junior and Young Rider teams. Jane competed in Junior (2000) and Young Rider European Championships (2004). In 2006 she moved to Italy to the stables of her husband Ignace Philips, this decision has been a real turning point for her life and career. Jane is Longines ambassador of elegance since 2003 and, thanks to this partnership, she has begun to compete in the Global Champions Tour (2013). She competed in the 2010 FEI World Cup Final with Zekina Z and she placed 14th. In 2014 she competed in the World Championships in Caen, Normandy. She is constantly competing at 5* level in 150 and 160 classes bringing her horses from youngsters to top level.
Riccardo Pisani
Born in 1981, competed at his first european championship as a junior in 1999. Now he is a strong member of the italian team. In 2018 he competed in the Nations Cup Finals in Barcelona scoring two clear rounds with the impressive Chaclot! In 2019 he was 2nd in the Nations Cup of Sant Gallen and 3rd in Hickstead. Riding Cristo he was 3rd in the Grand Prix of Crans Montana. In the 2019 European Championship in Rotterdam he ended 16th with Chaclot.
Michel Robert
Michel Robert is unanimously recognized as one of the best riders and trainers in the world. He participated in his first Olympics in Munich in 1972 in eventing. In his very long career he has won countless medals, to underline those at the European Championships (three silver, one bronze for the team, one individual silver), the World Championships (team: one gold, one silver, one bronze; individual: one silver, one bronze) and the two team bronze at the Olympics! In 2019 with Kellemoi de Pepita he won the final of the Global Champions Tour. Michel Robert also wrote many books to explain his method and horsemanship.
Oliver Robert
Olivier Robert is born in France in 1976. He started riding at 6 years old near Bordeaux, France. As his parents were not from the equestrian world, he also practiced other sport such as football that he played until the age of 15 years old. At this time, he had to chose between both sport as he couldn’t play football matches and ride in competition at the same time, he preferred riding. He met Dominique Bentejac, became his apprentice and spent 2 years in the United States with him as rider. Olivier competed in many Nations Cup and World Cup legs and competed in his first LGCT show in 2016 in Cannes. In 2017 he competed in his first World Cup Final in Omaha. In 2018, Olivier won the French Championships in Fontainebleau over 47 other competitors. In 2019 he won the opening class in the prestigious CHIO Aachen!
Philippe Rozier
Philippe began riding aged ten, he was encouraged by his father, who competed in jumping at Olympic level and won the team gold medal in Montreal 1974. He is a member of the french team since the 80s: he won two Silver medals in the team event at the European Championships respectively in 1987 with Jiva and 1989 with Oscar Monotiere and the team silver medal in the 1994 World Championships with Rocco V. He partecipated at three Olympics: the first only 21 years old in 1984 in Los Angeles with Jiva ending 20th individually and 6th in the team. In 2000 he partecipated with Barbarian in Sydney ending 36th individually and 4th in the team. In 2016 in Rio de Janeiro he finally got the team gold medal riding the grey stallion Rahotep de Toscane. He competed in five World Cup Finals, getting a silver in Paris in 1987 with Jiva.
Abdel Said
Abdel began riding aged three in Egypt. As a boy, he would travel to the Netherlands with his mother during the summer for training. When he was age 11, his family decided to buy a farm and move there so Abdel could ride more seriously. After he moved to Europe, Abdel trained with well-known instructors such as Emile Hendrix and Jos Lansink. In 2010 he set up AS Sport Horses in order to train and trade horses on an international level. He also represented Egypt at the World Equestrian Games (in Caen in 2014 with Vingino and in Tryon in 2018 with Jumpy Van De Hermitage) and at two Pan Arab games in Cairo 2007 and Doha 2011. He won two silver team medals and one individual bronze medal. Abdel also won an individual bronze medal at the 2018 Mediterranean Games in Barcelona riding Hope Van Scherper Dondar. Abdel is a member of the Rome Gladiators, a Global Champions League team. He is considered as one of the most complete riders among his colleagues. He is stable in the top 100 best riders according to the Fei Rankings.
Jeanne Sadran
Pius Schwizer
A Olympic Bronze and European Gold medal winner, Pius Schwizer began horseback riding at four and competing at eight, following in the footsteps of his father who was a former cavalry office and founder of the Riding Club Eich. Pius has since represented his country in two Olympic Games, winning a Team Bronze in 2008, and four European Championships, winning Team Gold in 2009, and is a regular on the Swiss Nations Cup team. In 2012 he classified third at the World Cup Finals in 's Hertogenbosch with Ulysse and finished 4th in the team event of Olympic Games in London. Other notable performances include the 2nd place at 2014 GCT in Paris and at 2015 GCT of Shangay with Toulago and Caretina de Jouter.
Harrie Smolders
Harrie Smolders' top season was 2018 when in may he became for the first time Nr 1 in the FEI Longines World Rankings. In the same year he won the 5* Grand Prix of hamburg and Bordeaux. Choosing between a career in riding or football at the age of 16, Harrie chose horses, so he took part of two junior European Championship before starding as a professional rider in the stable of Johan Heins and Axel Verlooy. During his succesful career he produced many top horses like Authentic, Exquis Oliver Q, Regina Z, Walnut de Muze, Emerald and Don VHP Z N.O.P. Harrie rode in five World Cup Finals, reaching the 2nd place in 2016. He partecipated in two World Equestrian Games and four European Championships, winning the silver medal in 2017! At the moment, march 2019, he is numer 3 of the FEI World Rankings.
Jessica Springsteen
One of the best riders in the U.S.A., she competed with the US Team at the 2010 Continental Championship finishing with an individual bronze medal and a team silver. In 2021 she competed with the belgian stallion Don Juan Van de Donkhoeve at the Tokyo Olympics winning the silver medal with the US Team. In 2023 this pair won the LGCT Grand Prix of London!
Janika Sprunger
Janika took up riding at age four and she got her national licence at age 12 as she comes from a family of riders. As well as her father being an international show jumper, he is owner of Reitsportzentrum Galms in Lausen, Switzerland. Janika has competed in six European Championships, finishing Team Gold in 2006 and 2008 and Team Bronze in 2015.
Niall Talbot
Billy Twomey
Working as Michael Whitaker’s stable jockey in his youth proved a key opportunity to learn and since then, Billy Twomy has gone from strength to strength. Now a feature in the Rolex World Rankings top ten, Billy is one of Ireland’s finest show jumpers. Career highlights include a win at the Global Champions Tour CSI5* Grand Prix in Valencia and Basel (both in 2011), and 6th place at the Nations Cup in Aachen in 2006. Tinka’s Serenade is his favourite horse to ride and his parents are his greatest influence. He describes Global Champions Tour as ‘the very best show in the world.
Henrik Von Eckermann
Henrik Von Eckermann and King Edward are the FEI 2022 World Champions, winning both gold medals, individual and as a team. Henrik got to the Herning 2022 Championships as World number one. Not only they were the only ones not to touch a pole during the whole championships but this is exactly was happened also in the Olympic Games where they ended in 4th individual position! Their performance was deteriminant for the Swedish Team Gold medal at the Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020! Henrik Von Eckermann's sport history is extraordinary. He developed his skills as a rider at Ludger Beerbaum's stables, he is now running his own stable in the heart of Europe together with his wife Janika Sprunger. He took part in three Olympic Games (2012, 2016 and 2020), the 2014 Weg in Caen and 2018 in Tryon, six European Championships and five World Cup finals. With his trusty Tovek's Mary Lou he won team silver at the Weg in Tryon and at the European Championships in Gothenburg as well as two bronze medals in the 2017 and 2018 World Cup finals.
Alberto Zorzi
One of the best italian riders, Alberto reached the 10th place in the World FEI Rankings in 2018. In 2017 he competed at the European Championships in Goteborg riding Cornetto K and ending with the fourth individual position. In 2023 he was member of the italian team at the Milano European Championships.
Adeline Cornelissen
As a junior, Cornelissen won three national Dutch titles. In 2008 she became the champion in the Reserve Championships and champion at the Dutch Championships. In 2011 Adelinde Cornelissen won the Dressage World Cup Final. With Jerich Parzival she conquered the silver individual medal at London 2012, and the bronze team medal. At the 2013 European Dressage Championships she won team silver and two bronze medals in individual events. At Rio 2016 she classified 4th in the team competition, with Jerich Parzival.
Francesca Salvadè
Francesca Salvadè is a Paralympic athlete, she has always been passionate about horses and took up para-dressage in 1995 in Rapallo, Italy. Francesca participated in the 2012 Paralympic Games in London for the Italian National Team.
Ester Soldi
Ester, born in Milan on 15 February 1970, has taken the first steps in the saddle at the age of 8 years, the team at The Blackcap. He practiced the discipline of complete until the age of 16 years, then move on to dressage.
Isabell Werth
There is no other rider in the world who has won as many medals as Isabell Werth. She competed in the Olympic dressage six times (1992, 1996, 2000, 2008, 2016, 2020) winning twelve medals, seven of them gold. In 2021 with Bella Rose she achieved the team gold and the individual silver in Tokyo. She also won 9 gold medals at the World Championships and 19 gold at the European Championships, and 5 World Cup finals. She is considered the absolute queen of dressage by the whole equestrian community. She helped Veredus to develop the new Absolute dressage boot and put her signature on it!
Cathal Daniels
Winning medals at Ponies, Juniors , Young Riders and Seniors, Cathal is the only Irish rider in history to have achieved this. Team silver medal at World Equestrian Games in 2018. Individual bronze medal Eventing Europeans 2019. Under 25 Champion in the UK and Ireland. Leading Irish event rider and World Top 10 ranked FEI rider. Cathal is also an accomplished Show jumper and is the Winner of both Stuttgart and Geneva indoor Derby’s.
Emily King
Emily is the daughter of eventing “royalty” Mary King. She represented Great Britain for the first time at the 2011 junior European eventing championships where she finished 7th individually with Mr Hiho. Emily clinched her first individual European medal at the 2012 junior European eventing championships where she won silver, once again with Mr Hiho. The talented rider enjoyed a bumper season in 2015. She was 3rd in the CIC3* class at Chatsworth Horse Trials with Brookleigh. She won team gold in the young rider European championships in Strzegom, was second in the CIC3* in Ballindenisk and came second in the seven-year-old championships at Osberton Horse Trials with Dargun. Emily made her four-star debute when she finished fourth at Pau Horse Trials 2015 Brookleigh. They followed that with their first Badminton in 2016, where they dazzled the dressage judges to sit in second place after this phase, just 2.4 penalties behind eventual winner Michael Jung.
Andrew Nicholson
Andreaw Nicholson is a New Zeland rider who has competed at six Olympic Games and six World Championship. He has won an Olympic Team Silver medal (Barcelona 1992) and 2 Olympic Team Bronze medal (Atlanta 1996 and London 2012) . He also won a Team Gold medal at the World Championships in Stockholm (1990) and Team and Individual Bronze medals at the World Equestrian Games in Kentucky in 2010. He has won Burghley five times as well as recording numerous top placings at other CCI**** events - Badminton, Pau and Luhmuhlen.
Zara Tindall Philips
Zara Tindall Philips is the daughter of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips. She won the Eventing World Championship in Aachen in 2006, riding her horse Toytown, Tindall collected individual and team gold medals at the 2005 European Eventing Championship in Blenheim, and individual gold and team silver medals at the 2006 FEI World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany. She competed in the London Olympics 2012 on High Kingdom and won a silver medal in the team event. Her mother, Princess Anne, presented her medal. Tindall finished second at Luhmühlen Horse Trials 2013, on her top horse High Kingdom. At the World Equestrian Games in 2014, Tindall and High Kingdom were part of the British team that won team silver.
Oliver Townend
Oliver inherited this love of horses from his parents and began riding when he was 7 years old. He earned his first European Championship gold medal – at Pratoni in 2007, riding Flint Curtis. His most successful year to date is 2009 when he won his first CCI**** at Badminton with Flint Curtis and Burghley CCI**** on Andrew Cawthray’s Carousel Quest. Great results continue, with successive top placings at both national and international events. In 2012 Oliver was given the ride on Paul Ridgeon’s 4* horse Armada, and won the British National Championship title the following year. Oliver finished the 2014 season at the top of the BE Rider Rankings, with a clear points lead. Armada was 3rd in the Horse Rankings, Black Tie II also slipping into the top 20. He is actually ranked 10th in the FEI World Eventing Athlete Rankings.
Nicola Wilson
International event rider, Nicola Wilson is based in Northallerton, North Yorkshire and with her great partner, ‘Opposition Buzz’, were pathfinders for the British Team, winning team gold and bronze medals at the European Championships in 2009/2011, Team gold at the World Equestrian Games 2010 (USA) and Olympic Team Silver Medal at London 2012 Olympics. Nicola has won the Scottish Open Championship no fewer than 4 times on 3 different horses, which is a considerable feat. The 2015 eventing season turned into Nicola’s best season to date with many personal bests being achieved, including a FEI world eventing ranking of 8th position in June and for the second year running finishing the highest lady rider in the BE rankings. At the British Open Championships at Gatcombe, Nicola, riding Beltane Queen was crowned the British National Champion. Nicola finished the 2015 season by winning the CCI*** at Military-Boekelo (NED), on Bulana, a young advanced mare.
