THE WORLD CUP FINAL IS SIGNED AGAIN BY VEREDUS

12/04/2023

Omaha was a World Cup final played right down to the last jump and thus delivered the fourteenth victory to a Veredus Riders Team rider. Ranking number one and reigning World Champion Henrik Von Eckermann hit the Omaha final with King Edward (2010 Edward 28 x Feo) after having played six with two other podiums riding Mary Lou in 2017 and 2018.
It is the result of a great job: "results come with everyone's commitment but only if you enjoy what you do", thus the Swedish champion condenses his own philosophy.
Seven riders of the Veredus Riders Team were competing in Omaha, starting with the defending champion Martin Fuchs. Together with him and starring until the last round was also Harrie Smolders who with the formidable Monaco (2009 Cassini II x Contender) repeated the second place obtained last year in Leipzig. For Smolders it was the eighth final and the third silver medal!
Pius Schwizer deserves an honorable mention: 61 years old and 12 World Cup finals. With the stallion Vancouver de Lanlore (2009 Toulon x Le Tot de Semilly) he was in the lead until the last course and surely deserved the victory. But two mistakes at the end of the course denied him that, leaving him with an excellent sixth place!
The Veredus Riders Team is made up of some of the best riders in the world and an increasingly interesting core of young and up-coming riders. The values they express are professionalism and attention to detail, just like all Veredus products. The riders of the team are our standard bearers but also valuable partners in the development of new products.
